We arrived back from our 1600 mile whirlwind drive holiday in time for me to attend the Annual June dinner of our Stitchery Guild. The guest speaker was Tanja Berlin who attended The Royal School of Needlework for 5 years. She gave a very interesting presentation of her apprenticeship and years of work and all the restoration, conservation and embroidery projects she worked on during those years. I'm taking a 2 day needlepainting class from her on the weekend which I'm really looking forward to!! There were a number of draws during the supper and I was one of the lucky recipients of this lovely covered can that one of the ladies in our guild made filled with threads and some needles. It was a lovely evening :)
Lucky Girl!
