A Needed Landscape Break

I needed a complete change after working with Brazilian rayon thread for the last few months.  Taking a wet felted landscape piece I had made awhile ago, I machine stitched some swirls in the sky, around the clouds, trees and the for the poppy stems. A few french knots, lazy daisy and straight stitches and voila - a small landscape :)  On a very, very happy note I can change my 6  to a 7 year breast cancer survivor this month.  Life and living is wonderful indeed :D
This week I received a very nicely stitched autumn atc with 2 small crocheted doilies.  Took 2 months to travel from Russia but thankfully it arrived save and sound.  Masha does beautiful work and has a lovely blog:  http://alovchany.blogspot.ca/  Thank you Masha!  Hope we'll swap atc's again :)

  4. Congratulations on your seven year status. Your landscape is an appropriate marker! It is terrific to be able to switch techniques for variety - one of the things I love about embroidery.

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! I love your landscape here with the felt and stitching. Just amazing stuff you do! Masha's gorgeous red ATC is so nice too! Is that a little set of two tiny bells sewn into the piece? So sweet!

  10. Jenny, this is so creative...Your work is amazing.
I used to do needlework and had gotten into quilts, (hand quilting) then trying little pieces... I have a few books by Judith Monsanto .. but there is not enough time for painting, making journals , quilting, needlework.. and on and on ... well you know how that is...
    I love your creations..
