Very beautiful owl - they're one of my favourite birds. I'm amazed that you were able to get that close to the herons...wonderful pictures!
The owl is so beautiful The stitches really look like an owl's feathers. I love the shots of the herons, you're lucky you were able to get so close to them.
the owl is lovely - such a one of a kind feathered owl with those lovely stitches and on silk too :) and your landscape and bird photos are wonderful - makes me what to come and visit so much! :)
Such a beautiful Owl you have stitched. I am amazed that this handmade paper took all the stitching and so close to the edge. How peaceful your lake day must have been. We have a beautiful blue Heron that visits our pond from time to time. They are amazing. Nature is amazing. Blissful dear...

I haven't visited your blog in awhile (I don't know why) so had to read back a few posts! The big question is -- now how do you attach the owl to something? or do you have any other plan to mount or frame or incorporate it into something?I love the doilys that you got from russia! and the atc too!

The owl is fantastic - and split stitch isn't the easiest to execute. Great photo of heron - again, birds are not the easiest subject. Would make a good embroidery!
