Owlies

An unexpected and sad loss of an aunt saw us on the road this week as we drove 7 hours to attend her funeral on Thursday and drove 7 hours back home yesterday.  I have never been able to while away that length of time in a vehicle without doing something with my hands.  I had quickly packed a bunch of different balls of yarn, crochet hooks and various patterns in a bag and these 3 owl ornaments is what I crocheted in the car.  I had first seen the pictures of these owl ornaments on Pinterest and thought they were so cute that I had contacted the designer of the pattern and ordered it from zoomyummy.com.
Snapped this picture through the window on our way past the small town of Chaplin, Saskatchewan.

  1. Condolences on your loss.
These owls you have crocheted are adorable. I agree about passing the time in a car...without reading for motion reasons. Summer Sunshine Smiles...

  5. So sorry to hear of your Aunt's passing. It's nice to have a hobby that can go along with you to keep your mind occupied and your hands busy during times like this. I don't know what I would do without my crochet. Wishing you and yours all the best, Tammy
