Kokopelli Running Stitch
A couple of years ago I spent a week in Arizona visiting family and there were these Kokopelli images everywhere. This humpbacked Flute Player is a mythical Hopi symbol of fertility, replenishment, music, dance, and mischief. I've been wanting to stitch the Kokopelli image onto something & here he is on this weeks TAST running stitch challenge.

DeleteI love Kokopelli! I play recorder, which is an early flute, and his trickster side is really appealing. Thanks for showing us this nice artwork.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I took recorder in elementary school and flute later on but haven't picked up either in ages. Maybe Kokopelli is trying to tell me something ;)
DeleteLOVE it! Great job Jenny! Love Kokopelli. Really like your border too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda! The border idea was from Sharon's Pintangle page and I really liked the look of it. Now for this weeks challenge :)

ReplyDeleteThank you very much! Wish I was better at picking out colours. Some people have such a wonderful knack for what looks good.
