Chevron Stitch

Can't believe how hopeless I was at this Chevron stitch.  Do I put the thread over or under and invariably I'd choose the wrong one. Thankfully I came across this free butterfly pattern on Miriam's Borduurblog which I really liked and helped me not to get too frustrated with myself as the butterfly began to take shape. Thank you Miriam for posting your pattern!!

  1. It's very pretty! If you have trouble with your stitches again, just look at Mary Corbets' video tutorials here:

They helped me a lot when I started to learn difficult stitches.

    1. Thank you Kira! I'm hoping that this weeks TAST stitch will be one I know but if not, yeah, another stitch to learn :)

  4. Beautiful stitching! By the way, you are not the only one who had to read the instructions again and again while working the sampler.

  5. Very nice indeed! Love the butterfly. Chevron does take a bit of getting used to, where the thread lies IS important.

    1. Thank you Linda! Yes, and every stitch I made on this I had to think, okay does the thread go on the top or bottom. :)
