TAST - Detached Chain
I've been learning a lot of new stitches since Sharon's TAST challenge began in January. The fly stitch, cretan, herringbone and chevron have all been new to me so it was very nice this week to play with a stitch I've done before. I always new this as the lazy daisy stitch and how bad is that that I didn't even know it had a different name!!!

I envy you your learning over the last few weeks. It's such fun to be introduced to something new each week, rather than revisit it as I've been doing. But I live in hopes that there will be a stitch I know nothing about in my future!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a beautiful job with your experiments.
Thank you very much! I'm so glad that Sharon offered this TAST challenge this year and that I can be a part of this wonderful learning experience :)
DeleteI seem to always be playing catch up on posts. Your stitches are wonderful and what a great way to practice new or tried and true stitches. I find if I don't use them all the time I forget and struggle...like with the very simple blanket stitch. Love your butterfly ATC. Wonderful Weekend...
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've been stitching for so many years and can't believe at how many stitches I've never heard of or done. This TAST challenge is absolutely great!
DeleteI love your little blocks! Great stitch dictionary in the making!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jenclair! I'm certainly enjoying making them :)
ReplyDeleteI love your little peacock, great idea!
