Have to admit that I struggled a bit with figuring out how to do this week's challenge and didn't like it at first. It probably didn't help that it was past 10:00 at night the first time I tried. I gave it a go the next evening and by looking through a couple of stitch books I eventually figured it out. Some of my knotted loops on my first fish (on the far left) weren't done quite right but I got the hang of it and now I can say that I quite like this Knotted Loop Stitch and my little fishies. Here's how my band sampler is looking with the last 7 TAST challenge stitches.
A few last leaves on a poplar tree in our yard. All the rest have long fallen but these are not ready to let go of their tenacious grip. Everyday I look for them and for some reason it makes me glad that they're still hanging on :)
The last leaves in fall remind me of Emily Bronte's poem:
Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
Wishing everyone a lovely and long fall :)
beautiful stitching..

ReplyDeleteYou did a really good job with the knotted loops, Jenny. I'm going to have to try again. I found it in one book, I'm going to have to search through my other books, too, and online.
