My owl book is finally owl done but after I took the picture I realised that I need to put who it's by on the front cover! So here are my 20 stitched owls. You've seen most of them before but there are a few new ones too:
french knot owl and free motion machine embroidery owl,
6 cross-stitched owls,
organza artist trading card owl and an owl completely done with the split stitch,
a nice bit of owl ribbon and a needle weaving owl with different kinds of threads,
a doodle silhouette owl and a very small stump work owl,
my wonky hardanger owl and a blackwork owl. Free pattern available at: Kincavel Krosses.
The needlepoint owl was another free pattern I found at Ship's Manor and a gold owl.
This woven picot owl was the first one I had made also artist trading card size.
My Tyvek owl was made by painting a sheet of Tyvek with a bit of gold and silver metallic paint. I ironed it between sheets of parchment paper and then cut and tore it into an owl shape. I tacked all the pieces down with gold coloured thread. Mega fun :)
My daughter had done a quick owl sketch and that was what I used for my gold owl.
As I also love to crochet I had to add a crocheted owl which is on the back page. I thoroughly enjoyed my owl book project and especially trying to be creative. I loved stitching each and every one of my parliament of owls.
