Buttonhole Eyelets and Chickadees

Week 49 of TAST were these fun Buttonhole Eyelets.  I actually knew how to do the buttonhole stitch and bullion stitches before beginning the Take A Stitch Tuesday 2012 challenge but I had never put the two together.
I added a few random french knots and cretan and chain stitches to join them all together.
 - 22 degrees Celsius today and every time Grant put his hand out the door with a few sunflower seeds, the chickadees were on his hand in an instant.  I had to take a few shots so I bundled up and took some pictures.
On the wing to a branch but as soon as it's eaten he'll be back.
I stuck my hand out the door a few times as well and with my camera in my other hand snapped this picture of a most delightful experience with one of the sweetest of birds.

  1. That is the coolest photo with your hand out the door and bird on your fingertips! You should submit it to Birds and Blooms magazine!!

Beautiful floral design using all the different stitches! Love all the color!
