13 Liner
Grant took a break from trucks, drivers and loads to see if he could coax a 13 Lined Ground Squirrel to come for some cashews.
Took less than a minute for this one to pop up.
Leaning forward for a better whiff.

what lovely pics Jeanette, thought at one point the squirrel was going to go inside and up the trouser leg!Your squirrels have lovely markings on their backs the ones here are just plain,ours are friendly in the parks where people feed them but when I had them in the garden of my old house I could not get near,the cat used to chase them at first but soon got bored and ignored them fortunately.

ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a 13-lined ground squirrel. Really cute. We only have tree squirrels (mostly red) in our area, and chipmunks.
