Snippets Postcard
This is my very first fabric postcard. Our local stitchery guild meetings began again this month after a summer break and the program after the business portion of the meeting has been titled Mixed Media Explorations. We ironed a piece of wonderunder on our base fabric and cut snippets of thread over it, covered it with a piece of tulle and then ironed it again. We were to take our pieces home, make a grid pattern and connect the intersecting lines with embroidery or beads. At our next meeting we'll be putting a back on it and I think making another postcard using a different technique. It was fun to do something a bit different and I'm already looking forward to next months meeting.
