TAST Band Sampler

Here is what my TAST band sampler is looking like so far.  Five weeks into the year and 5 types of embroidery stitches learnt, used and played with :)

Herringbone Stitch

Week 5 of the TAST challenge finished just in time before Sharon posts this weeks stitch.  Again, this was another stitch that I had not done before.  There are more variations of this stitch but I just stuck with the basic herringbone and double herringbone.  It really is something seeing all the different ideas, stitching, colours and creativity of others doing this challenge.

Cretan Stitch

Week 4 of Sharon's TAST challenge and I'm very pleased that I still haven't fallen behind!  It was the Cretan stitch this week and here are a few of my variations.

Feather Stitch Fishy

Ha! So far so good!! I've been able to keep up 3 weeks in a row now with Sharon's TAST challenge on her Pintangle site.  Really enjoying learning and using these stitches and creating a band sampler.  Ready for the week 4 stitch!!

TAST Buttonhole stitch

Here is my small sample from Sharon's TAST week #2:  the buttonhole stitch. I never knew there were so many variations from this one stitch.  Looking forward to the next challenge stitch tomorrow.

Finished TAST Fly stitch

Finished my small fly stitch exercise from Sharon's TAST that she's offering on her Pintangle site.  I decided to make a band sampler with all the different stitches.

TAST Fly Stitch

I signed up for Sharon's Take a Stitch on Tuesday program on her Pintangle site and to start the year we have the fly stitch.  Can't say I've ever done this stitch before and here is my attempt at it.  I also haven't decided on how I'm going to keep all of these TAST stitches.  Some are making theirs into a fabric book, some into tags, postcards, atc's, band samplers or using them on crazy quilts. I haven't decided yet but I'd better decide soon.
